High-efficiency high-speed drop catcher with reduced pressure

We are developers and manufacturers, we have our own patents and many positive R&D results.
We are residents of the Skolkovo Innovation Center for the automated waste sorting and thermal disposal complex project.

Problems

Wet (combined) gas purification systems have the highest flue gas purification efficiency (up to 99.92%) with sufficient compactness. The main disadvantage of these systems is the problem of separating droplet moisture from the purified gas stream after direct purification.

The composition of industrial waste may include various substances depending on the organization's activities. In most cases, a wet GO system is used for the list of toxic waste:

  • Petroleum products formed from raw materials during its extraction or processing.
  • Galvanic sludge or electrolytes
    Waste from the production of varnishes, paints, emulsions, and solvents.
  • Additives, dyes and other materials of the food industry.
  • Other chemical industry products.

Technological challenges

The available solutions and known devices are not designed to purify gases from liquids. The disadvantages of the known solutions include the complex design of the dust collector and the insufficient degree of gas purification due to the lack of ledges in its conical part, which help the dispersed particles move down into the hopper.

The technical problem that the proposed technical solution is aimed at solving is:

  • in simplifying the design of the drip trap;
  • improving its reliability and improving the efficiency of the drip trap;
  • increasing the degree of purification of gas from liquid, while reducing energy consumption.

Solution

The proposed drip separator can be used in wet gas cleaning systems to capture liquid droplets after Venturi scrubbers, foam apparatuses and other wet dust collectors.
Thus, in the proposed droplet separator, liquid droplets are separated from the gas stream three times due to:

  • Centrifugal force is the basic cleaning method.
  • An additional turbulence of the flow in the low-pressure zone based on the Coanda effect is an improvement in the basic cleaning method.
  • The forces of gravity and inertia are an additional method of purification (post-purification).

Eco-Spectrum team for new developments and innovative technologies

Thus, a simple, technological solution in production and use has been proposed, which makes it possible to increase the efficiency of gas purification, and, consequently, the quality of gas at the outlet of the droplet trap.

The utility model relates to the field of gas purification.

The ECO-SPECTRUM team strives for the novelty and perfection of its own technologies.
