The eddy current separator is designed to separate non-magnetic metals as well as non-ferrous metals. The efficiency of the separation process of mixed volumes of metal particles is realized through the use of eddy currents. They give the conductive elements a different trajectory from the passive fraction, due to this, the eddy current separator of non-ferrous metals perfectly separates all the necessary elements from the rest of the particles

The principle of operation of the separator is based on eddy currents (Foucault currents), which are generated in materials due to magnetic fields rotating at an increased speed. The necessary metals are separated from the passive fractions by simple "ejection": non-magnetic parts of metals, when the total mass moves over the magnetic rotor along the conveyor, are forcefully thrown forward. At the same time, other materials are sent down.

The eddy current separator has effectively proved itself in the process of separating the following non-magnetic particles from materials with inert "non-conductive" characteristics (rubber, paper, glass, plastic, wood, etc.):

  • aluminum(Al);

  • silver (Ag);

  • Magnesium (Mg);

  • Lead (Pb);

  • tin (Sn);

  • copper (Cu);

  • zinc (Zn).
